The objective of our project to simulate global communication, recently made available through advances in technology. The message we wish to convey is one that demonstrates the benefits of technology.
The conversations that are played are meant to be relatable to people all around the globe, as it is these everyday interactions that people can now have thanks to technology. People are now capable of staying in touch with loved ones even with miles of distance in between them.
Even if viewers do not know the languages being spoken in the recording, they can still sense the ease and tone of the conversation. Hearing the conversations between friends and loved ones reminds the listener of similar conversations that they may experience with the people in their life.
To enhance the viewer's experience, we used LED lights to show which country the language being spoken is originated in. This helps show just how far global communication can go and provides a fun and engaging visual for the viewer.
The goal is to have people walk away from our project with a newfound appreciation for technology and the benefits it has provided for global communication. We hope it inspires people to pick up the phone and call a loved one somewhere in the world.
